3T bolsters the Exploro range with two more wallet friendly models
Following the success of 3T's more affordable (but still not cheap) Exploro Rival, the brand has added two more Exploros to fill in any gaps in the line, respectively featuring Shimano's new GRX gravel bike drivetrain and wireless SRAM AXS shifting.
- The best gravel and adventure bikes you can buy for under £2,000
- The best money-no-object gravel and adventure bikes we've tested
- Five things that weren't cool - until gravel happened
Starting off, the Exploro Team/Force Eagle tops the affordable range based around the Team frame. It comes equipped with a mix of SRAM Force and Eagle AXS offerings, using the Eagle derailleur and 11-50 cassette combined with Force brakes and shifters. This build rolls on Fulcrum Racing 700DB wheels wrapped with WTB Venture 650b x 2.0” tubeless tyres.
The cockpit is built up from a 3T Superergo TEAM bar mated to an Apto PRO stem (100mm on a large).
Sitting right in the middle of the Rival and the Team/Force is the Exploro Pro GRX. Built around the PRO frame it uses Shimano's new gravel bike drivetrain, which they say is a perfect entry into gravel riding for those waiting for just that. The brand has chosen to spec the bike with Shimanos 1x drivetrain for its versatility and the ability to use their 11-42 cassette.
This build also rolls on the Fulcrum 700DB wheelset but with WTB Riddler 700c tyres.
Both bikes are available in four sizes, S, M, L and XL but come in only one colour unless you opt for the ready-to-paint option where you can now pick the painter and from a recommended offering of paint jobs.
The Exploro Pro GRX full build is priced at 3,999 euro (around £3,555) and the Team/Force with set you back 5,800 euro (around £5,150).
