Maxxis Shorty Gen 2
£75
Back in February, the much loved Maxxis Shorty got an overhaul. The knobs have been altered for better performance in the wet, improved cornering, and more effective mud shedding. It also comes in a 2.4" width which increases clearance and reduces weight. With the recent weather the UK has faced, this should be prime.
Scott Syncros Flat Squamish III pedals
£35
The Squamish III pedals are Scott's budget-friendly nylon-bodied pedal with a single sealed bearing and molded pins. These should be an excellent pairing with the MTB AR shoe we saw in 5 Cool Things last week.
CST tyres
£35
Though a fairly new brand to the UK's audience, CST is owned by the same folk who head Maxxis and they've kindly sent us a few tyres to test. We've got one cross-country option, the Patrol and two enduro focussed tyres, the BST and the Rock Hawk. These are off to Jim to see if they can stack up to Maxxis' offerings.
Endura MT500 apparel
£43 - Glove £40 - Jersey £70 - Short
Hot off the heels of last week's Endura announcement, we've got both men's and women's brand new MT500 summer kit. There's the MT500 D3O glove and MT500 jersey rocking a fresh psychedelic print. We've also got the Singletrack Lite Short which is made from a four-way stretch nylon with perforated vents and zipped hand pockets, along with a rear security pocket.
Chrome Doubletrack Handlebar Sling Bag
£60
Finally, something for the bikepackers out there. The Chrome Doubletrack Sling Bar Bag doubles as both a handlebar pack and a sling that sits on your back, ideal for those trips to the pub or the mid-ride cafe stops. It gets a cool magnetic clip closure with a hook and loop attachment system to easily strap it to your bike.
