5 cool things from Lazer, Ryder Innovation, Madison, Wolftooth and Acerbis
The stream of cool things flowing through the office shows no signs of slowing. This week, we've got a cross country/gravel/road helmet from Lazer, puncture repair in the form of the Slugplug, and a mountain of kit from Madison. Here's what we've got.

Acerbis Mudout Fender
Weighing in at a measly (claimed) 68g Acerbis' Mud Out Fender fits 26", 650b, and 29" wheel sizes. The brand says that it's suitable for almost all fork and tyre combos and it's fastened using four zip-ties. Acerbis also says that the side portions allow for an additional fastening point while making the mud guard more stable and protection to the fork.
Ryder Innovation Slugplug Tubeless Repair Kit - £10
We love a good tubeless repair kit here at Off-road.cc and hopefully, the Ryder Innovation Slugplug can mingle with our favourites. Setting itself apart from similar kits, it can be pre-loaded with a slug, primed for puncture repair. In the handle, you'll find a Presta valve core remover and the ten slugs, (five thin, five fat) come in a nice, handy case.
If you're unlucky enough to get through all of the plugs, a refill with the case included will set you back £4.
Wolftooth WT-1 Chain Lube - £19
£19 may be a hefty price for such a little bottle of lube but it comes with a mighty bold claim. Wolftooth says that the WT-1 lube will improve the mechanical efficiency of your drivetrain while lasting three to five times longer than most other chain lubes, simply because of how well it binds to a chain. It also drives out dirt, meaning that it cleans as it lubricates, only needing a quick wipe down after a ride.
The brand says that it also works on other areas of the bikes, namely hubs, jockey wheels and cables. We're looking forward to putting this one to the test.
Lazer Blade+ MIPS - £99
Alright, you've caught us, this is technically a road helmet but we reckon it would fill the boots of a gravel or cross country helmet rather well. It brings the super cool looks of the Lazer Z1 to a friendlier price point with 22 vents and Lazer's rather unique Rollsys retention system which is adjusted using a roller on the top of the helmet. In a small, it's claimed to weigh in at 230g and it comes in three sizes from small up to large.
Madison Roam collection - £13 - £80
Madison has bunged us an awful lot of kit from the Roam collection, along with some Explorer Primaloft Extra Long socks. In this little pile of textiles, we've got cargo bib shorts, merino jerseys, packable jackets and shorts. We've got each item in both men's and women's models for a group review coming soon.
