FFWD says that the new Outlaw wheelset is designed for XC and marathon riders who know that details matter. As such, it gets a wide, 30mm internal width and reinforced nipple holes, along with a wider, hookless bead which with the aim of making this wheelset more than capable in all-mountain scenarios. The brand says that the Outlaw wheels can fit up to 2.7in rubber.
This wheelset runs on FFWD's latest boost hubs that use a 36t ratchet internal system and high-quality bearings for quick engagement. Though what's interesting is that the brand offers a choice of either Sapin CX-Ray or CX-Sprint spokes. These are mated to the rim using brass nipples for durability and the wheels are tubeless ready with tape and valves.
Available in 29in only, this wheelset is claimed to weigh 1,595g and will set you back £1,349.
