Intense has introduced the 2022 Sniper and Primer ranges with each bike benefiting from updated componentry and a fresh lick of paint. The brand has also made some changes to its prices and what you'll actually pay.

Starting off with the new price structure, Intense says that the price you see on the website is the exact price that you'll pay. Where some direct sales brands show a bike's price, then ask for more money for packaging and duties, that's all included in Intense's pricing from now on, offering full transparency.
Moving onto the bikes, the Sniper is the brand's full suspension cross country thoroughbred. As expected, it's a 29er with a progressive XC geometry that comes with either 100mm on the full XC builds or 120mm on downcountry builds. Both of those builds get their own rear ends too, with the XC one focussing on weight savings and the Sniper T's favouring stiffness
The Sniper T comes in three builds with an extra frame only option. All builds see in a Fox 34 fork with a Fox DPS shock ranging from Performance up to Factory models. Shifting comes from SRAM with NX Eagle, GX and X01 drivetrains with TRP, and Shimano XT brakes. All bikes get Maxxis Aggressor tyres in 2.3" widths and EXO casings wrapping e*thirteen, or DT Swiss wheelsets.
New for 2022, the Sniper comes in a FRO (For Race Only) model that comes kitted with RockShox SID suspension both front and rear, along with SRAM XX1 AXS Eagle shifting. There's a pair of Maxxis Ikon 2.3" tyres with DT Swiss XRC 1200 carbon wheels.
As for the Primer, Intense says that it's the most versatile bike in the range. It gets 140mm of travel at the rear with either 150mm or 160mm at the front, depending on the model you choose. For this year, it gets 650b or 29" wheel options and comes with a frame-only option if you would like to build one to your own spec.
The top of the range Primer S comes build with 29" wheels, an Öhlins RXF36 m.2 fork aired with a TTX22M coil shock, Magura MT7 brakes, Shimano XT 12-speed shifting, Maxxis Minion DHR II tyres and an e*thirteen dropper. Then the Expert builds offer a choice of wheel sizes, Fox Performance suspension with 150mm of squish at the front, Kenda Pinner tyres, e*thirteen LG1 wheels, Sram NX Eagle shifting and TRP Trail Evo 4-piston brakes.
Prices for the Primer star at £2,600 and go up to £5,600. Then prices for the Sniper start at £2,600 and top out at £8,000.
