One of the finest all-round Enduro mountain biking destinations in the world, Les Arcs, is once again the hosting the event which will also officially launch the resort’s MTB summer season: 6th-8th July 2019.
4EventSport - the French MTB events specialist (Ski2Bike, L’Arcadienne), is relaunching Enduro2 in collaboration with Enduro2’s original creator; Ali Jamieson (formerly trailAddiction,Trans-Savoie). You can expect a return of the usual top quality, little-known single track stages, superb organisation, and a great party atmosphere throughout the weekend.
“It's hard to believe this is actually happening again - there have been a lot of organisational and technical hurdles to overcome, but the dream never faded for me. For everyone involved, it's the most fun weekend of the year and it makes us all so happy to see how stoked the competitors are on the trails, and the great atmosphere in the bar after racing is finished each day. We hope next year is going to be the best yet as we'll be making even more of the brilliant after-party vibe at Charly's Factory each evening with some special DJs and other entertainment lined up. Les Arcs is really stepping up it's mountain bike trail building programme so the the tracks will be more fun than ever too, and we're proud to be back at the heart of it”. Ali has been guiding in the Les Arcs valley for 16 years, and knows every centimetre of its vast terrain and mostly-natural network of 1000s of Km of single track.
“The lift system in the Les Arcs area is super-efficient so for those planning a long riding weekend at Enduro2 we can guarantee a massive amount of brilliant riding crammed into only 3 days. The Amazing Singletrack ranges right from the breathtaking high Alpine, through mature pine forests, to the valley floor with a huge 2,000m+ vertical drop to play with that gives you some truly massive runs. And with ever-more flowing, pumpy, jumpy machine-built trails to play on now too, Les Arcs really is the ideal setting for a riding break.”
Full details are available on the Enduro2 website. Enduro2 is raced ‘blind’ over a three-day weekend, and blends state-of-the-art machine built Bike Park terrain with a mind-boggling quantity of secret paths and ancient hiking trails to hype adrenaline levels. The 13 timed stages take in over 10,000m of vertical descending that's fun for all competent riders, but with plenty to challenge riders of all abilities. Let’s be clear though - if this is your first-ever trip to the Alps, we’d probably suggest trying something a little less intense such as the Pass’Portes du Soleil.
On-site hotel options, a campervan/camping pitch for the weekend, and airport transfers from Geneva can be booked separately at promotional prices once you have confirmed your entry - or you can of course choose to sort out your own independent arrangements.
Lifts will be running all week after the event is finished, and with stacks of awesome single track to sample, many participants will no doubt choose to stay-on for the week and enjoy even more good times. But with Tignes, Meribel, La Thuile and La Rosiere all within an hour’s drive of the Enduro2 race HQ in Bourg St Maurice, there are countless options to plan-in Enduro2 as part of a longer summer MTB road-trip.
Entry price is 395 Euros per team of 2 riders. There are 300 entries (150 teams) which will be available to sign-up online from 1st January 2019 - subscribe to the the event’s facebook page to be kept up to date on getting-in your entry.
