Mondraker uncovers the 2022 e-MTB lineup
Mondraker has given the e-mountain bike line-up a serious refresh for 2022. With the update, the brand introduced six bikes all of which will run the new Bosch CX GEN4 motor. Here's what the range is all about.

Each of the new bikes benefits from the new Bosche CX GEN4 motor and all of its accompanying tech. First off, the motor itself offers 85Nm of torque with a more natural feel, says the brand. It's also compatible with a new Bosch Flow app which allows for the customisation of the motor's modes.
Then, the bikes come sorted with the new 750Wh Smart System battery to get riders covering more miles and full charge can be reached in six hours, thanks to a 4A charger. If you're after half charge for a quick spin, that's said to take only two.
That motor is controlled by an LD Remote, a wireless control unit that gets an ergonomic design and an ELD battery indicator. Along with that, there's the fresh KIOX 300 display with a full colour screen, absolutely no buttons and a new multi-position mount, offering a range of mounting options.
So, let's move on to the bikes and the Level takes the place of the hard-hitting savage. It's built around an aluminium frame and is graced with 180mm of suspension at the front, paired with 170mm squish at the rear. With the Level, Mondraker has made a move to coil suspension for its supple, small-bump tunability combined with its big hit reassurance.
Dialling things back a bit and offering a bit of agility and lightness but retaining a claimed confidence-inspiring ride is the Crafty and Crafty Carbon. The Crafty Carbon is sorted with a 160mm fork with 150mm shock and it comes in three models. Although, the XR model comes with a beefed-up 170mm fork.
Then, for 2022, the Crafty comes with a completely revised frame, benefitting from a weight reduction and a refined suspension kinematic. Of course, just like the Crafty Carbon, it's shod with Mondraker's proven FORWARD GEOMETRY and ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM with the same suspension travel. The alloy version also gets an XR version, rocking 170mm of travel at the front, provided by an Öhlins RXF 38.
The Chaser R gets a more relaxed attitude than the two bikes already mentioned and is aimed at being a more budget-friendly e-bike but similarly to the Crafty, it gets 160mm of squish at the front, with 150mm out back. This bike is built around an aluminium frame built with STEALTH ALLOY EVO tech with a specifically optimised suspension kinematic, says the brand.
Rounding up the range of off-road specific e-bikes, the Prime R is the entry-level hardtail, running 120mm of suspension, 29" wheels and a dropper post. It's made to be versatile without being limited.
Finally, the Prime RX is made to be as at home on the streets as it is the trail. Like the Prime R, it gets a 120mm fork and dropper post but it's also sorted with mudguards, racks and lights.
