Nukeproof's Megawatt has been busy earning quite the name for itself over the past year. For 2022, the brand has taken the very same frame and drive system but has tweaked the specification a touch to keep the bike bang up to date. However, new for the range is an even heavier hitting RS model.

The new Megawatt RS is built for those who want a little more from the Megawatt. Its spec has been chosen with inspiration taken from the Nukeproof-SRAM Factory riders and how they kit out their bikes. So this one is over forked with an extra 10mm at the fork, offering a more gravity-orientated ride. It also gets strengthy Michelin DH22 rubber and like the rest of the RS range, it gets a black 'n Chrome finish.
As for the rest of the spec, the Megawatt RS is equipped with a RockShox ZEB Ultimate fork with a Charger 2.1 damper paired with a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate RCT coil chock. There's then a SRAM X01 AXS 12-speed drivetrain, SRAM Code RSC brakes, Nukeproof Horizon V2 wheels, and carbon bars from the same brand.
Next in the range s the MegaWatt Factory, rocking a Fox 38 Factory with a GRIP2 damper, a Fox Float X2 Factory shock and a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain. This bike gets the same wheels as the RS model but they're wrapped with Maxxis Assegais both front and rear.
The MegaWatt Elite gets its Fox 38 and X2 from the Performance Elite range with shifting from Shimano and the SLX range. Everything else apart from the Brand X Ascend dropper matches the Factory model.
Finally, the MegaWatt Comp benefits from a RockShox Domain with a Motion Control RC damper, a RockShox Super Deluxe Select R and Shimano Deore shifting, and braking. This one gets Sun-Ringle Duroc SD37 comp wheels but everything else matches the Elite model.
Prices for the 2022 Nukeproof MegaWatt start at £5,000 and top out at £7,600 with RS, Elite, and Comp bikes available now. We're told that factory models will land in mid-August.
