Off-Road Arrivals
In a world filled with Black Friday internet sales, the postie was looking decidedly tired this week! Nevertheless, he delivered and we have new kit for test. We're looking at shoes and lights from Fizik, Peaty's Loam Foam and that rather special looking dropper post from Specialized.
Rocky Mountain Altitude Alloy 30
Released in April this year the new Rocky Mountain Altitude has a completely new frame over models of old, a new rocker link design and a new position for the Ride 9 geometry adjustment system. Rachael gives the bike a once over below and we'll have a review up soon.
Fizik M6 Boa Women's SPD Shoes
We've got a growing number of clip-in mountain bike shoes in for test and thought that these Fizik M6 Boa's fit into the groups nicely. Fizik say they are made specifically for women taking into account the fit, style and sizing. They look tough, they feel light and appear to be well heeled for grippy walking when off the bike.

Fizik Lumo L1 Rear Light
Also from Fizik, we are taking a look at the Lumo L1 rear light paired with the Luna MTB saddle. The Lumo L1 fits neatly into the rear of any Fizik saddle using the integrated clip system, we thought it looked like the ideal solution for mounting a light whilst using a dropper post. It's got four modes and an extra white 'safety light' in case you need a torch to hand and is USB rechargeable. If you like the look of it, it also comes with straps to attach to any regular seat post.

Peaty's Tubeless Sealant and Loam Foam
Keen not to miss out on the Loam Foam action the guys at Greenover dropped off a bottle of Loam Foam and some of Peaty's Tubeless Sealant. The sealant has biodegradable ‘nano-platelets’ to assist with the repair of larger holes and tears in the internal tyre and the best thing is - they look like glitter! If you've been missing some jazz from your tubeless setup then get this in your life.

Specialized Command Post WU
We've been waiting a while for this in anticipation - we wanted some WU in our lives....
The WU Command Post is featured on all the top end 2018 Specialized Enduro's which we told you about back in August. The dropper uses a unique mechanism to tilt the saddle nose up as the post moves through its travel, resulting in 150 millimetres of effective drop that increases the effective post travel. The wording 'effective drop' is key here, the post only actually drops 115mm, the last 35mm of travel takes place just at the rear of the saddle, lowering the rear and raising the front. Spesh say it will make for a more enjoyable ride, ahem. We think that with parts of the saddle only dropping 115mm, that the post might come up a bit short in our expectations, but into the test with an open mind we go.....We'll be fitting this to our Enduro Comp 29er we have in for test.
