2021 sees quite a big change for steel-framed bike brand Production Privée. Along with a move to the Forestal Technology Centre, the brand has moved towards a new brand strategy, shifting focus onto offering full bikes moving forward. With this Production Privée introduces the brand new Black on Black, and The Explorer line-ups.

Truly living up to their name, the entry-level Black on Black bikes get a super stealthy colourway and in usual Production Privée form, these bikes get an automotive inspired design, using the Porche 911 GT3 and Ducati Panigale V4 as muses.

Then The Explore range features a limited run of top of the range specced bikes with a paint job that's inspired by Land Rover. On the top tube, you'll then find a topographic map of Andorra, marking the brands move to the Forestal Technology Centre, in Andorra.

The Explore range runs as part of Production Privée's Limited Universe and throughout the season new collections of unique bikes will be introduced. Every bike that's released through the Limited Universe will get new colourways and some spec changes but most importantly, the geometries and suspension travel will remain unchanged.

Both of the ranges feature the 650b hardtail, the Shan N°27, the 29er Shan GT and the Shan N°5 full suspension enduro bike.

As for the bikes themselves, The Classic (Black on Black) models come kitted with RockShox Pike Selects with 150mm of travel. They then get a SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain, with Formula Cura brakes and Crankbrothers Synthesis wheels which are wrapped with Panaracer rubber. These bikes also comes with a Crankbrothers Highline 7 dropper post.

The full suspension Shan N°5 gets a Rockshox Super Deluxe Select+ shock.

Then The Explore models get a hefty upgrade, featuring RockShox Ultimate suspension, apart from the Shan N°27, which gets a Cane Creek Helm MKII Air. There's also SRAM XX1 Eagle drivetrains, Formula Cura four-pot brakes and carbon Crankbrothers Synthesis wheelsets.

Topping off the range is the Shan N°5 Petit Tonnerre which is a souped-up Shan N°5 with a Cane Creek Helm MKII Air fork, Cane Creek DB Kitsuma shock and all of the rest of the goodness found on The Explore range. This bike is limited to just 51 units, so be quick to nab one of these.

Also new for 2021 is the Mini CG, a Production Privée balance bike, bringing that automotive-inspired design to your little rippers.

That's not all from Production Privée, the brand has begun to involve itself with downhill racing, introducing The Brigade Team to the Downhill World Cup season on a brand new DH rig designed and developed by the brand.

Along with that, the brand has supplied slopestyle and Red Bull rider, Pavel Aleklhn with a titanium dirt jump bike, so hopefully, we might see even more bikes added to Production Privée's line-up in the future.

Prices for the new range of bike start at 2,980 (around £2,500) euro and reach up to 6,950 euro (around £6,000) for that limited edition Shan N°5 Petit Tonnerre. The Mini CG balance bike in either the Classic or Explorer model will set you back 200 euro (which is around £170).
