A first for Transition, the brand has unveiled an all-new all-country bike dubbed the Spur. It gets 120mm of travel and a fancy, one-piece flexy chainstay. The Spur promises anti-gravity like climbing and the descending characteristics of a bigger bike.

The Spur features a full carbon frame made using a blend of 24t, 30t and 40t Japanese Toray fibre to hit the strength, stiffness and weight sweet spot. Transition use a unique latex coated EPS moulding technique which allows for sharper lines and tighter radius control while reducing any waste material.
As with the rest of Transitions lineup, the Spur features the brands' GiddyUp suspension but this bike gets a one-piece flex stay rear triangle. It's designed to work with inline style shocks and to provide a good balance with the 120mm fork.
If 120mm of rear travel isn't quite your style, it's possible to swap the shock out for one with a 190mm x 37.5mm stroke to reduce the travel to 100mm.
The usable sag range is fairly wide on the Spur. It offers from 25% to 35%, allowing the rider to tune the suspension from sharp and snappy to supple and active.
The suspension is designed with nearly 30% progression with a consistent linear rate of change, balancing support with small bump sensitivity. It's anti-squat is tuned to enhance the bikes pedalling but without getting in the way of the suspension when it's needed.
Complete bikes come with a RockShox SID fork, 2.4" Maxxis tyres with EXO casings, four-pot SRAM G2 brakes, and wide-range cassettes (10-52t). There's clearance for a 2.4" tyre too.
Paired with a stout seat tube, all build levels come with dropper posts from OneUp, the SM getting a post with 120mm of drop, the MD gets 150mm, the LG with 180mm, and the XL with 210mm.
As for the geometry, the Spur follows along the same SBG geometry as the rest of Transitions line up. An LG frame gets a 480mm reach a 75.9° seat tube angle, with all sizes getting a 66° head angle and 435mm chainstays.
The Transition Spur is priced at £3,000 for the frame only with the GX build costing £5,000 and the top of the range AXS build setting you back £9,000.
It's available in either Deep Sea Green or Black Power colour ways.
