Both hailing from Edinburgh Markus Stitz, the first person to ride a single-speed bicycle around the road, and Mark Beaumont the Guinness World Record holder for the fastest circumnavigation in 78 days and 14 hours team up to inspire people to take up routes close to home and perhaps take on an adventure they've not yet experienced.
The duo, almost literally explores their boundary, taking on a route that follows the local authority boundary of Edinburgh but to add a bit of spice to a very local ride the pair are faced with the harshest of Scottish conditions. The pair complete the ride in 10 hours.
After the second lockdown was imposed in Scotland, the two cyclists created a collection of routes ranging from 30 to 315 miles in distance that use the boundaries of Scottish local authorities as a guide.
If you fancy taking on one of these adventures, the routes are available to download for free from Bikepacking Scotland's website, or from Mark and Markus' Komoot profiles.
