Yorkshire True Grit is back in 2019 - race takes place in Hutton le Hole
We took part in the Yorkshire True Grit event in 2017 and loved every second of it, it popped our Jon's gravel cherry and he's not been quite the same since. We are glad to see the race return at a brand new location in June 2019 and entries are now open.

Big news for 2019 sees the race move slightly east to Hutton-le-Hole, a North Yorkshire village which means new routes, new trails and new fun! The organisers say "in 2019 you have a completely new route to ride – we’ll take you places you didn’t even know existed, using a mix of gravel tracks and single track in a true test of endurance and adventure."
Taking place from the 21st -23rd June 2019, you can choose from three distances
- The Outlaw (60 miles) - £42
- The Drive (40 miles) - £42
- The Stampede (20 miles) - £25
There is camping available for the whole weekend (£5 per person per night) and the entry fee includes a way marked route & GPX file, map of the route, feed station on all routes + additional water stops, finisher’s award, mechanical support at the start and at the feed station and access to land that you are normally unable to ride!
The final schedule hasn't been confirmed, but you can expect the format to look something like this:
Friday - Campsite/Event HQ open from 3pm for registration - closing around 8pm (ish)
Saturday - Outlaw starts at approx 8am; Drive starts at approx 9am (timings subject to change)
Sunday - Stampede starts at 10am
Site closes at around 3pm (ish)

Remember the organisers also run an event called 'Dark Skies', a gravel night race in Feb so keep an eye out for that one in 2020!
