YT Industries Jeffsy Primus has been available in 24- and 26-inch wheel sizes for a while, offering top-performance mountain bikes for kids. Now, the German brand has expanded its range with a 27.5-inch model, offering a new bike for taller or older young shredders.

With the Jeffsy Primus range, YT Industries aims to equip young talent with high-performance mountain bikes. But these bikes aren't just for lighter riders as the range has been tested to the exact same standards as the adult's Jeffsy.
So let's start with the latest bike in the range, the Jeffsy Primus 27 comes sorted with 150mm of travel at both ends with a 2023 RockShox Lyrik Base fork with a Debonair+ air spring and Rush RC Damper. A RockShox Deluxe Select damps the rear travel with a custom tune.
Elsewhere, there's an e*thirteen cockpit and a SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain with 165mm cranks. To fit slightly longer legs, there's a 125mm dropper post and SunRingle Duroc35 wheels shod in Maxxis DHF and DHR II rubber. The bike has been designed to accommodate 650b or 27.5-inch wheels.
As for the rest of the range, the Jeffsy Primus 26 drops the travel with 140mm of squish and 26in wheels. This one comes with a RockShox Reba fork and a Deluxe Select shock, again with a custom tune. The rest of the build follows suit with the Primus 27, but it gets a shorter 100mm dropper.
Rounding up the range is the Jeffsy Primus 24 which gets even smaller wheels and less travel. Running 24-inch wheels and 130mm of travel, the Primus 24's suspension is taken care of by a Manitou Machete Junit fork and a McLeod shock, both of which get custom tunes for lighter riders. This bike is sorted with kids-specific SDG Slater bars, grips and an SDG Fly saddle. It benefits from 155mm SRAM X1 cranks, SRAM NX 11-speed shifting and four-piston SRAM G2 R brakes. Finally, the Primus 24 rolls on SunRignle Duroc 30 wheels wrapped with the very same rubber that the other bikes get.
If a full aggro trail rig is what you think your kid needs, prices start at £2,100 for the Jeffsy Primus 24. The Primus 26 will set you back £2,300 and the 27 is £2,500.
