Nox Sox Pedal Covers Large review

The Nox Sox Pedal Covers might seem like a bit of an oddity, but if you regularly stick your bike inside a car or van, then they're a neat way to prevent your pedals from messing up your vehicle or other bikes. It's a neat, well-executed idea and the only downside is the cost.

As the name suggests, these neoprene booties fit over your pedals and are held into place with a pair of snap fasteners, preventing your pedals from doing damage to anything they might come into contact with. Made down in Cornwall, they come in two sizes, namely small for clipless pedals and large for flat pedals. The small versions are two quid cheaper.

I'm constantly putting multiple bikes in and out of cars and pedals - especially flats - are the main offender when it comes to avoidable scratches when they're on top of each other, even with a blanket between them. If like me, you like in a small flat filled with bikes, they're also not a bad idea to prevent you accidentally belting your shin on a flat pedal as you walk by. As these come as a pair, you can completely sort one bike out or protect two bikes from each other.

They've fitted just fine over the biggest flat pedals I've got as they're super stretchy and the material is thick and tough enough to prevent studs getting through. The main downside that I can see is that they're pretty expensive for what they are - though if they help keep your bike or car's paintwork pristine for a bit longer then they might seem like a decent investment.
