Funn Full On Handlebar review

Funn's Full On handlebars are an economical and durable set of no-nonsense, all-around trail or enduro use bars, with a good shape and plenty of options for width, rise and colour matching.

Built from triple-butted aluminium, the Full On bars come in two widths - 785mm and 810mm available, which caters for peoples bar width and reduces the likelihood of having to chop them down. They are only in 31.8mm clamp size. I tested the 810mm width with 15mm rise, they have a 5.5° upsweep and 8° back sweep.

A full 810mm is pretty wide, but it gives steering benefits and stability - the downside are the tree gaps that provoke either a bar turn and wheelie or a sharp intake of breath as you pray you clear. I like wide bars, so the Full On were a favourite from the start. The 15mm rise meant I ran my stem a little higher to get the position back, but the sweep angles worked really well for me, more so than some other bars with a steeper sweep back or up.

Out on the trails, they are plenty solid enough, with day ride comfort due to the triple butting bring weight down and providing a degree of vibration reduction, but they are noticeable firmer in feedback than my last few pairs of carbon bars - but the two aren’t really equally comparable, especially when you bring price into that comparison. These aren't overly light or heavy - the Goldilocks sort of weight really.

The look of the bars is pretty loud, especially in the orange colour way tested - I like that and of course they come in black for more stealthy options. The graphics are bold, but not overly so. They have additional markings on the stem and the end of the bars for setting angles and cutting down if need be.

I feel these bars would be durable, and certainly had a good few months of bike parks, enduro racing and regular riding. They feel predictable, in turns or on rough, rocky lines, with no large amount of flex felt. A well made and good quality bar at a decent price with some varied options on rise and sweep. They're available in 785mm and 815mm widths, with 30mm, 15mm and 7mm rises and in red, orange, blue, green, grey and black.
