Designed as Pivot's all-mountain e-MTB, the latest build of the Shuttle AM brings an array of new updates that places it in line with the rest of the brand's range. The most notable changes are the move to Bosch motors and a new vertical shock layout.

Perhaps the biggest change is the vertical shock layout. Mounting the shock in this fashion brings a number of benefits including space for a full-size water bottle and a range extender. Though, it's not all about hydration as the brand says that the vertical shock boosts stiffness in the frame and reduces weight. This layout also increases the tunability of the Shuttle AM's kinematic and lowers the bike's standover height.

This bike uses a dw-link that helps the bike feel lively on the trail and pedal well. Pivot says that this kinematic provides the optimal amount of anti-squat, allowing the bike to offer all of the traction under the drive system's full power.
With the suspension layout, there's a flip chip that offers adjustability to the Shuttle AM's geometry. The High and Low options allow for five millimetres of bottom bracket height adjustment along with 0.4-degrees of adjustment at the head and seat tubes.

The new Shuttle AM in its low setting is built with a 64.1-degree head tube angle, a 76.4-degree seat tube angle and a 444mm chainstay. The reach figure comes in at 476mm.
The second biggest change is the move from Shimano to Bosch's Performance drive systems. That means that the range-topping model boasts Bosch's limited-edition Performance CX Race model. Pro and Team builds get a 750Wh battery, while Ride builds come with a 625Wh battery. However, Pivot does offer Bosch's PowerMore range extender that boosts range by 250Wh.

Elsewhere on the carbon framed 29er, there's a clever tool dock found under the top tube that allows for easy carrying of Topeak's Dock Ninja, Co2, Dock Ninja Tool Box T16+ or Dock Ninja Tool Box Mini 20 Pro multitool options.

There are three builds of Pivot's Shuttle AM available with the Pro X0 bike getting you a Fox Factory E-MTB 36 with 160mm of suspension paired with a Fox Factory Float X shock that damps 148mm of travel. As suggested by its name, this bike is driven by SRAM's X0 Eagle Transmission drivetrain and it gets the Bosch Performance Line CX motor. It then rolls on DT Swiss Hybrid HX1501 wheels with a Maxxis Minion DHF at the front and a DHR II at the rear.
The Team XX Eagle Transmission of course gets the SRAM XX drivetrain and many of the components found on the Pro model. However, this one benefits from the Bosch Performance Line XC Race motor.
The Ride SLX/XT model gets Fox Performance level suspension and a mixed Shimano SLX/XT drivetrain. Running on the Bosch Performance CX motor, it rolls on DT Swiss Hybrid H1900 wheels with the same tyres as the Pro build.
As for prices, bikes start at $9,000 and go up to $11,800 with UK prices coming soon.
