SENDHIT launches the first ever MTB specific first aid kit
As mountain bikers, or gravel riders we carry tonnes of stuff to make sure we can fix our bikes whatever the situation, knowingly weighing ourselves down in the process. However, knowing the risks of riding off-road many of us don't carry a first aid kit. Sendhit is set to change that with the first-ever mountain bike-specific first aid kit, weighing in at 100g.
- Trail Essentials - Kit to take on a mountain bike ride from the bare minimum to safety essentials
- The 11 gravel-specific products you never knew you needed
- Ten top tips for Alpine riding trips
Back in 2018, Pinkbike conducted a survey finding that only 23% of riders carry a first aid kit, choosing to rely on emergency services and hoping that riding buddies will have one.
Sendhit is looking to buck this trend and has released the first ever MTB-specific first aid kit. It's been adapted especially for mountain bikers to deal with the more serious injuries that can easily be picked up out on the trail. Not only does the kit hold everything you need to deal with these injuries but it also comes with all important advice on what to do in a range of serious situations.
In the small, 16 x 11 x 3cm, water resistant packet you get wound dressings, non-adherent pads, bandages, wound closure strips, antiseptic wipes, an alcohol prep pad, PE tape, vinyl gloves, forceps, scissors, safety pins, a survival whistle and an ID rescue card. So straight away, it looks pretty comprehensive. Along with those, there are step-by-step instructions on how to deal with the most common injuries.
That pouch doesn't only act as a storage solution for all of this kit but it comes printed with a host of advice on the first actions to take in the event of an accident, how to reach emergency services and distress signals.
What's extra handy about Sendhit's First Aid Kit is that it comes packed with medical advice on how to perform a range of incredibly helpful things, such as how to practice CPR, MILS, how to control bleeding and how to put someone in the recovery position. That's just for starters as there's loads more for an impressive array of situations.
All advice cards are available in five languages, EN, FR, DE, ES, and IT.
The Sendhit First Aid Kit will set you back 30 euros (around £25).

Good to see it's in a resealable bag, which should mean it's easy to restock when inevitably you use some bits.
