Battle on the Beach returns for 2019
If you fancy mixing up a bit of Euro beach racing style action with some classic singletrack riding, you'll be pleased to hear that Battle on the Beach will be returning for a sixth edition in 2019, taking place on Pembrey, South Wales over the 6th and 7th April.

As ever, it's open to every kind of off-road bicycle be it cyclocross or fatbike, with last year's edition attracting over 950 people from 18 different countries to Pembrey. The location boasts rock hard sand for racing on at low tide - land speed record attempts were made here back in the day - plus loads of fun singletrack that slithers behind the dunes, so it mixes the best of both kinds of racing.
Though the £1,000 of cash prizes for winners will tempt racers, there's plenty to lure in all levels of riders and their families with plenty of prizes for tandem, singlespeed and fatbike categories, a nighttime time trial on the Saturday, races for kids of all ages and loads of stuff to do for those that don't ride, such a dry ski slope and pony trekking.
