Storing accessories and spares on your bike is the best way of unloading weight from your backpack and Crankbrothers has now launched its S.O.S series. The Save Our Shred range consists of five storage solutions to carry its new multi-tool and tyre repair.

Where brands have been taking advantage of the negative space on bikes in order to cleverly store tools and other bits and pieces, others have sought to do similar through utilising mounting points that already exist on the bike. We saw Syncros do exactly that with its Cache bottle cages and now Crankbrothers is getting in on the action with its Save Our Shred, or S.O.S series.

The S.O.S series is a collection of five storage methods that allow for the semi-modular storage of the S.O.S Multi-tool, S.O.S CO2 Chain Breaker, a proper tyre lever with a built-in tubeless repair kit, and a handy tube stash.

First up, the S.O.S TT17 Twin Tube Tool Kit mounts to any bike's accessory mount and can hold the new Crankbrothers multi-tool as well as a spare chain link and a CO2 cartridge. On top of that, there's more as it can also house a CO2 head, 0, 1 and 2 spoke wrenches, a chain tool as well as a tyre lever, complete with that built-in tubeless repair kit. We're told that this weighs in at 247g.

Then things get bottle-cagey with two bottle-cage-based options. There's the S.O.S BC2 Bottle Cage+ and the BC18 Bottle Cage Tool Kit. The former is a reversible bottle cage that offers left or right entry that also makes a home to the tyre lever with a built-in tubeless repair kit.

The BC18 then builds on that, providing storage for the multi-tool, chain tool, CO2 head, valve core tool and everything found on the TT17 but it can also hold a 16, 20 or 25g Co2 cartridge, or Crankbrothers' Klic HV pump.

Finally, the S.O.S kits are available in strap form, which is bolted to any two-bolt accessory mount. It offers the same functionality as the bottle cage kits but as it uses a strap rather than a bottle cage, it can carry a tube or anything else you would like to strap down.

Prices start at £30 for the TS2 Tube Stash+ and go up to £120 for the TT17 Twin Tube Tool Kit.
