Mondraker's Dune is reincarnated as a lightweight e-MTB
It's been a while since we've heard anything from Mondraker regarding the Dune but the brand has today revived its iconic enduro bike. While things look very familiar, the bike is now electric. Here's everything you need to know.

The new Dune takes a leaf out the Neat's book borrowing key aspects such as its lightweight and agility. However, it translates those two points over to a longer-travel platform as Mondraker titles it the 'super enduro' of lightweight e-mountain bikes.
Cited to weigh under 20kg, the brand claims that its Stealth Air Carbon frame tips the scales at 2,650g. Then, it's drive comes from a Bosche Performance Line SX motor.
The Dune comes with all of the goodness you would expect of a Mondraker bike and complimenting its sleek angles is a monoblock carbon-fibre rocker linkage. Frame features continue with a Fidlock mount under the top tube, a bash guard and a shock mudguard included. There's also a bottle cage mount on the downtube that can also become home to a 250Wh Bosch Powermore range extender.
On the subject of the motor and its battery, the Bosch Performance Line SX provides 55nm of torque with 600Wh of peak power. It's powered by a 400Wh battery. As expected, it offers four riding modes and the Dune utilises Bosch's Kiox500 display.
There are also a host of other Mondraker stalwarts, including the Zero Suspension kinematic that's been updated for this bike specifically and a Mondraker wouldn't be a Mondraker without exhibiting its Forward Geometry concept. With that, a large Dune is equipped with a 64-degree head tube angle, a 77.5-degree effective seat tube angle, a 485mm reach and a 445mm chainstay. With a longer fork the Dune XR's angles slacken a touch and it gets a 480mm reach.
As for suspension travel, it's still very much a Dune with 170mm of squish at the front and 165mm at the rear. XR models get a bump up in front travel, featuring 180mm. It's a mullet bike, too, with a 650b rear wheel and a 29in hoop up front.
Mondraker is offering the Dune in three models, the XR, RR and R. The former features a full suite of Ohlins suspension with SRAM's XO Eagle AXS Transmission shifting and SRAM Code Ultimate brakes. RockShox handles the Reverb AXS dropper post and it rolls on a set of e*thirteen Grappler Race carbon wheels.
The Dune RR is what Mondraker says is the balanced option. Again, it gets Ohlins suspension both front and rear but it benefits from a SRAM GX T-Type drivetrain, SRAN Code Bronze Stealth brakes, and alloy e*thirteen Grappler Race wheels.
Finally, the Dune R is the entry-level build that's sorted with a Fox 28 Performance fork and a Fox Float X Performance shock. The mechanical SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain drives this bike and features SRAM's DB8 brakes. It then rolls on a set of e*thirteen Grappler Core wheels.
