PRO introduces two new saddles for enduro and e-mountain biking
Bike component manufacturer PRO has released new saddles tailored for enduro and electric mountain biking. In conjunction with the new saddles featuring a brand new design, PRO is also launching a new naming convention for its saddles, making it easier to spot from the name what the saddle features are.

The new naming means that PRO saddles have three-letter acronyms and two numbers in the product name, explaining each saddle’s intended discipline, length and the body position it facilitates, including the base, rail and padding material being used.
PRO MSN 1.3 Enduro Saddle
So in the case of the new saddles, the PRO MSN 1.3 Enduro Saddle is a mountain bike-specific, short-length saddle designed to facilitate a neutral position on the bike.
It features a carbon-reinforced base, stainless steel rails and an abrasion-resistant PU cover over PU padding. As the name suggests, the saddle is ideal for Enduro and technical trail riding, thanks to the neutral position it encourages and its short length. The neutral position should help riders to climb comfortably in a seated position, and this is helped by balancing the pressure distribution across the saddle.
The short length means the saddle won't interfere with shorts or trousers on enduro descents, and PRO says the broad pressure channel further helps reduce pressure on the perineal region and to prevent water damming up inside the recess the saddle also features a drainage port.
The MSN 1.3 Enduro is available in two widths: 142mm and 152mm and weighs 255g.
PRO MSU 1.3 E-MTB Saddle
The PRO MSU 1.3 E-MTB Saddle is designed for modern long-travel E-Enduro and E-Trail bikes. This saddle features an upright position on the saddle, as the U in the MSU acronym suggests.
Like the PRO MSN 1.3 Enduro Saddle, it features a short length, a carbon-reinforced base, stainless steel rails and an abrasion-resistant PU cover over PU padding.
But the riding position is where this saddle differs. Because electric mountain bike riders spend more time delivering power from a seated position and the long travel of E-Enduro bikes, the PRO MSU 1.3 E-MTB Saddle is optimised for an upright body position.
PRO says this has been taken on account in the shape of the saddle, but also in the placement and density of the padding. There is a similar pressure relief channel with a drainage port on this saddle.
MSU 1.3 E-MTB saddle is available in 142mm and 152mm widths and weighs slightly more than the enduro version at 272g.
All PRO Saddles come with a 30-day guarantee which gives you time to test if the saddle is the right one for you. In addition to that, you also get a lifetime warranty. Both of the new PRO saddles are available now and retail for £119.99. For more details visit PRO website below.
