Coming on the Butcher are a choice of two new compounds, the GRID GRAVITY and GRID TRAIL, each being more suitable for a different style of riding.
GRID GRAVITY replaces the brands Black Diamond models as the stronger, harder hitting tyre with more reinforcement. Whereas the GRID TRAIL casing is lighter and not as heavily protected.
The Eliminator isn't left out with this update. It also comes with the choice of GRID GRAVITY and GRID TRAIL and Specialized's new compound dubbed T9.
T9 is claimed to be high-dampening and is designed to rebound slowly which offers more grip, traction and control.
As a guide, weights for a GRID GRAVITY T9 Butcher is set to be 1050g for the 650b x 2.3 and 1350g for the 29 x 2.6" tyre.
For the GRID TAIL cased tyres, Specialized are asking for £45 and £60 for the GRID GRAVITY tyres.
