Specialized's Butcher gets a tan in the Search of Soil - Limited edition T9 Butcher get tan sidewalls
Maybe a long time coming for a few, but the Specialized T9 Butcher is now available with tan sidewalls. However, that's not all, with this tyre the brand will be giving back to the trails through the Soil Searching initiative.

In September last year Specialized announced the T9 Butcher which comes with that classic Butcher tread pattern that we've all come to know and love, but the rubber compound and carcass promise better traction and a slower rebound.

All of that goodness now gets a tan sidewall option but not just for the sake of the classic look. No, with every sale of the tan walled T9 Butcher, a portion of the cash will go directly to the brand's own Soil Searching project.
For the uninitiated, Soil Searching was created by Specialized back in 2018 to fuel and support the trail building community.
By sponsoring trail builders, hosting dig days and leading fundraisers Specialized aims to create a community to further the development and maintenance of trail systems.
In 2019 and 2020, Specialized Soil Searching provided over 11,000 volunteer hours through more than 200 sponsored dig days on six continents with the help of 50 supported trail builders around the world.
If you reckon your bike could rock tan sidewalls and you want to help out a very worthy cause the Specialized T9 Butcher Soil Searching tyres can be picked up for £45 but be quick, they're available in limited numbers. They'll also only be available in 29 x 2.3" widths.
