The first-ever Vittoria Mountain Bike Marathon took place in 2021 and has built up some serious traction, not to mention becoming the Southern Round of the British National Marathon series in 2022. As a result of its popularity and superb-yet-tough route, it has gained National Championship status for 2023.
The event, sponsored by Vittoria, is a lapped event consisting of one to three laps, or four for the 'Monster Marathon' - where riders will take on a full 80km of riding. Along with that, there's also the option to compete in a pairs format, where riders will take turns per lap.
Entrants of the Vittoria Mountain Bike Marathon will be taken through plenty of singletrack, woodland trails, heathland, gravel tracks and meadows, offering a challenge that's open to all abilities.
Vittoria's Mountain Bike Marathon will take place as part of Eventrex's TrailX Weekender, where there are events catered towards e-bikers and young mountain bikers. Sussex's Pippingford Park hosts the venue with the weekend planned for 8-9 July 2023.
