3T mix road and mountain bike parts to launch the stunning Exploro Team Force Eagle ETap Trono. The catchily named special edition bike features SRAM AXS, Eagle XX1 derailleur, Torno crank & 11-50 cassette.

With production preference first given to the pure road and pure mountain bike group sets, it has taken a bit of time, but now the mixed groups are finally available in sufficient quantities, says 3T. In SRAM terms, that means combining the Force AXS road shifters and lightweight brakes with the Eagle XX1 AXS wide range rear derailleur. 3T pair this with an Eagle cassette, either the 10-50T or an 11-50T, where they reckon the Exploro 11-50T is actually a better choice for most cases, keeping the gears spaced a little closer.
To put the spec over the top, 3T opted for their own Torno crank, a crank they say is "specifically designed for ultimate aerodynamics in 1x, it is the perfect crank to get the most out of your Exploro's on- and off-road performance. With its full carbon design including spider and axle, the Torno is not only very aero but also extremely light and strong. Just like the Exploro, fast & tough. Manufactured from scratch at our carbon factory near Bergamo, Italy, the Torno stands for the future of 3T. Given our limited production, it's not a crank we spec on most of our bikes (the standard Force AXS crank is of course nice too) but for this special edition, it's perfect."
The bike cost €6,499, and there are options to spec it up further with wheel upgrades to 3T's DiscusPlus i28 LTD wheels or the 700c Discus 45 | 32 LTD wheels.
And last but not least, every special edition requires its own unique paint job right? 3T have opted for Caribbean blue / Burnt orange with the matching fork, we think it looks pretty good indeed!
