7 Protection (or 7iDP), a brand established in the body armour market has announced that it has bolstered its range with a brand new selection of gloves. The four model range is set to cover a range of riding styles and includes a winter-specific model to help keep your hands warm in the harshest of conditions. Read on for all of the details.

7iDP's new glove range is made up of four models, each filling a specific role and is set at a certain price point. First off, the Project is the premium glove on offer. It's designed to balance weight, comfort and protection by using a ventilated four-way stretch AX Suede Palm paired with a rip stop stretch upper. There's also padded protection at the important areas of the glove and in this case, it's found on the pinky and ring finger to add a bit of impact absorption against any surprise tree punches.

Next up, the Control is a glove that's designed for those who don't like riding in gloves. It gets a minimalist design with a form fitting cut. Then, there's a bonded cuff that's said to eliminate bunching while keeping the glove's low profile. The Control benefits from a four-way stretch AX palm and a vented, rip stop upper. The brand reckons that this glove is like a second skin.

The Transition glove is the entry level model in 7iDP's new range. It's built with a mesh upper and a ventilated synthetic suede palm with added silicone grippers. A handy feature is a microfibre thumb wipe along with sublimated graphics and a neoprene cuff. This glove also comes in youth sizes.

Finally, there's the Chill which is promised to offer the same ergonomic fit as the rest of the range but this glove is designed to keep your hands nice and toasty during those chilly rides. This glove comes sorted with a micro fleece-backed neoprene upper with fourchettes. That's in addition to a Clarino palm and reflective graphics that doesn't only make it ideal for mountain biking, but it wouldn't be out of place during your daily commute.

Prices for the new gloves start at £20 for the Transition Youth, the adult's Transition will cost £25, the Control £28 then the range topping Project will set you back £30. That's the same for the Chill too.
