Enduro2 is set for a comeback in 2021
Making a return for 2021 is Enduro2. It's a team-based enduro that aims to share the buzz of racing with a mate.

While Enduro2 is a full-fat three-day race with a podium and everything, it's not all about the actual race. The organizers want riders to share the excitement and above all, have a great time doing so. In fact, we've given it a crack ourselves, see our Big Read here.
Enduro2 is a race with a difference, it's set up for pairs but only one rider gets a timing chip and it's given to the rider who starts the stage second, after their mate. The idea of this is that the rider ahead tows the timed rider through the trail. If the rider in front messes up by choosing the wrong line, the timed rider can then pass, therefore saving a bunch of time.
There's no time advantage at all if the rider in front plows on leaving the timed rider behind, maximizing a team effort.
For 2021, there are two Enduro2 events with one taking place in Les Arcs in France and there will be another in Italy, with more information incoming.
The race has a bunch of categories including Mixed Pair, Male Pair, Female Pair, 77+ Combined Age, and 100+ Combined Age.
New for this year, there are also e-bike, Team-of-Three, and Solo categories.
Les Arcs Enduro2 offers 15 stages with 10,000m+ of descent with 1,000m total on-bike ascent. While the race will take you through up to double-black trails, there are no mandatory jumps or drops.
Entry will set you back 395 euros per team and that includes two restaurant meals, a three-day uplift pass at Les Arcs, free camper van or car parking all weekend, a free on-site mechanic, the mountain rescue team, and entry to the after-party.
There's also a single-day event that will take place on day 3 which includes an uplift pass for the day and entry to the after-party. That'll cost 95 euros a team, or 50 euros to go solo.
